A note from Sahara, founder of CrystalTrance
Everyone has a different path that brings them to crystals. For some, it’s purely geological. They're fascinated by how bands of Chalcedony form slowly over time, creating the soft, rhythmic banding found in the white Agate geodes, often seen sliced and polished into bookends propping up Man’s Search for Meaning and Moby Dick on a shelf.
For others, it’s all about vibration and energy and a search for finding the best crystals to support the Root Chakra. Or it could be Black Obsidian delicately carved into oversized seashells used for home decor. There’s something special in knowing it’s not resin. Not cement. It’s Earth.
And of course, there are many who simply admire the sparkle and bling of exquisite natural crystal jewelry — light dancing around the wrist, adorning the neck, framing the aesthetic of the woman wearing tiny works of art.
Regardless of how you arrived at your affection for crystals — you’re here. And personally, I resonate with all of these paths.
I'm particularly fascinated by the historical lineage of crystals — how the relationship between humans and stones is literally coded into our DNA. We don’t learn in 5th grade, for example, that ancient Chinese royalty wore jade for protection, status, and spiritual balance. Or that humans have been collecting crystals for over 100,000 years. Our ancestors have left us a brilliant legacy and depths of knowledge about crystals. Scientists have discovered that humans were collecting crystals for rituals 105,000 years ago in the southern Kalahari, at Ga-Mohana.
The part of the timeline on the spectrum of humanity we are currently in — where we became disconnected from crystals — is a mere blip compared to the long stretch where crystals were a natural, important part of our existence.
At CrystalTrance, of course I sell crystals. But more importantly, I’m here to encourage our visitors to reconnect with their birthright as human beings on this intense, mysterious, magical, and often brutal spinning sphere of water and Terra. Control over their own energy, and access to important natural tools.....crystals.
You’ll notice even in the product descriptions references to ancient civilizations, mythology, or the geological journey of a crystal. This is all by design — to help clear your path for the remembering of how we once interacted with the Earth.
So what can you find here at CrystalTrance?
We basically divide the website into seven categories:
1. Carvings & Specimens
This is where you’ll find some of our most beloved pieces. Specializing in Feng Shui natural crystal carvings, we'll invite you to dive into the world of Pixius and Dragon Turtles. You'll also find a vast array of animal carvings such as Squirrels and Elephants, as well as classic forms like hearts, pyramids, and cubes. For specimens, you’ll find small but mighty beauties and rare museum-grade treasures.
2. Chakra Alignments
Search by Chakra and explore crystals that support energy work, balance, and inner clarity.
3. Crystal Compendium
Browse by crystal name — a growing library of information and items for collectors and energy workers alike.
4. Jewelry Adornments
This is where I spend most of my time — designing bracelets, necklaces, earrings, rings, and belts in sterling silver and natural crystals for women and men. No costume jewelry here. Every piece is high-quality and made to honor both form and frequency.
5. Luxe Home Decor
A favorite for interior designers and those curating intentional spaces. These are the refined statement pieces for your credenzas, bookshelves, entryways, or office spaces. Earthy. Elegant. Layered in story.
6. Book Services
Access our in-person and virtual special experiences, such as Chakra Alignment sessions, or private shopping appointments where I bring visitors into my warehouse via video, answer questions about crystals, and help them select the perfect items. Think gifts, small tools for crystal energy work, or true museum-grade pieces.
7. Rare Matter (this blog)
This is where I share crystal musings, educational insights, industry trends, or simply reflections on where crystals and the human experience intersect.
So welcome, my friend. We’re thrilled to have you here.
