Sugilite was first discovered in Japan in 1944 by petrologist Ken-ichi Sugi, the mineralogist for whom the stone was later named. Over time, the stone became known within many crystal and spiritual communities as the “Shield of Light” stone because of its reputation for supporting courage, compassion, resilience, and the ability to remain emotionally grounded while moving through life’s heavier moments.

At the center of the bracelet rests a tulip motif, adding tremendous meaning to the story of the piece.
